The staff and board are proud to announce that we have been named as the recipient of the Community Shares 2007 Institution for Change Award. Our center, along with other award recipients, will be honored at the 7th Annual Circle of Change Awards Celebration on Saturday, May 12th at the Bearden Banquet Hall.
We were selected as this year’s recipient for our “outreach to bring prenatal care into underserved communities including developing the cultural competence to serve immigrant families who do not speak English”. This work has been made possible by many of you who have supported our Outreach and Social Services program, have attended or donated to our Walk for Healthy Babies, have donated items or volunteered to a Communities for Healthy Babies event, or have donated money or services to help us care for our uninsured clients.
