At the Lisa Ross Birth and Women’s
Center, we believe that breastfeeding is the best option for
your baby. We are proud of our 97% breastfeeding initiation
rate, the highest rate in Knox County.
Our Certified Nurse-Midwives and Postpartum
Nurses provide our clients with the information and support
they need to breastfeed successfully. Whether it is deciding to
breastfeed or dealing with problems you may encounter with
nursing, our staff have many collective years of experience in
helping women breastfeed successfully.
Linda Cole, CNM, is a Board Certified
Lactation Consultant and is able to assist with more complex
problems, should they arise.
Breastfeeding classes are offered at LRBWC
on an ongoing basis to better prepare you for the challenges
and joys of breastfeeding.
Since 1998, we have been proud to be a
World Health Organization designated
"Baby Friendly"
birthing facility, the only such facility in Knox County. We
strive to remove any barriers to successful breastfeeding
within our facility and the Knoxville community.
