Annual Well Woman Exams We are caring women, caring for women. It is our goal to provide you with the actions and information you need to stay happy, healthy and strong. Every woman needs to keep herself healthy by scheduling annual well woman exams. At the Lisa Ross Birth & Women's Center, we are an all female clinical staff, highly trained in the area of women's health. Here at our Center, we start by taking an interview with you in order to get your complete medical and personal history. You are both a patient and as a person to us. We then proceed to the physical exam, which includes a clinical breast exam, a pelvic exam, a pap smear, and testing/treatment for minor gynecologic problems. We also make referrals for mammograms at the appropriate time. We provide you with information you can use on what is "normal" and what isn't, as well as how to take charge of your health in order to reach your optimum goals. A typical exam takes from 30-60 minutes, and the entire time is spent with a female provider.
